She never felt like she didn't get what she wanted. She did. Sometimes. But not a lot. She felt like this was her fault. It was, wasn't it? If she could just let go. Of the bruises on heart. Of the disappointments. She managed it sometimes. Forgetting who she was and being someone different was always a relief. Why? Maybe she was just impersonating herself most of the time, a mere shadow of who she really was. Her true self was weighted down by burdens, responsibilities. Lurking under the murky waters beneath her endless collection of masks. If she could learn to let it all go, to finally spread her wings and just, be herself! Like a a flower about to blossom but so afraid of what it would be like. Wouldn't it be safer just to remain closed up like always? She felt that she subconsciously feared taking a chance. But maybe, when she did, things would get better.
Maybe then she could get what she wanted.
I was so happy to get back this. These are good for my brain.
