2010: The Wild Child

Hey guys! So here are my inspirational sets for my 2010 style direction! I'm sorry about the long break, I had to get my first finals week over with. I love all of these sets (and I wish I had all the clothes too, heehee). Intermixed is my style direction defined in words!

 Ingredients: Crazy floral patterns, dip dyes and tie dyes, boots, LEATHER boots, sequins, her grandfather's hat, ten different sweaters that go with nothing, yet everything, red in every outfit, and an ideal white dress, messed up braids, or perfectly coiffed hair, a Gunne Sax dress, vintage slips as dresses, high waisted shorts, so many gold charm necklaces and 30 stone rings, and earrings that look like candy pieces. Stripes and florals, lace and pleats,  dresses for every occasion, and jeans too, blue, red, purple, gray, pastel pink, green, rainbow....

Dark red and purple nail polish, thin eyeliner or Chapstik,  and only one handbag, carrying a camera, some money, a notebook busting with evidence of a whirring brain, and a bottle of pink jackfruit vitamin water.

Who is she? She is the leader of the group, the one with all the friends. She doodles masterpieces in English, but draws broken hearts in Math. She swims in the creek below her house, and grows ranunculus, anemones, and apples in her garden. She spends her time in thrift stores, can't resist a frozen yogurt, and has a phobia of crossing the street.

Butterflies land on her hands and her head, they are not afraid of her. She draws with markers and crayons, but makes beautiful art. She can do the splits, a handspring, and a backflip. She makes collages with just about anything, and collects fashion magazines. 

She's an environmental activist, and she collects old Disney movies. She always loses at B.S., but she can tell a lie in a pinch. She makes great banana bread, and her lemon bars taste perfect. Her room is a visual feast, art adorning the walls, all by her or her friends. Her bed is piled high with velvet pillows and the quilts she makes when she's bored. Her bookcase has a small stack of informational tomes. She doesn't read novels much. There are always flowers on her desk and a an antique mirror hangs over her vanity. Her jewelry and makeup are scattered on a rose-glass cake pedestal, and her self-made perfume sits in a vintage pink vial like the ones from the movies. All she sees out her window is forest, and when it rains she pretends she's in Twilight (only sometimes though). She doesn't know what she wants to be when she grows up, but she knows she won't just sit around and hope things will happen for her. She enjoys swingsets, movie nights, seeing her boyfriend, photography class, and dancing. She's obsessed with velvet and she owns a full-length coat. She's what you could call normal, but she's so much deeper than that. 

This is she.

This last one was kind of more of an artsy thing but whatever! It's still cute!
